Disability Employment

Commitment to Diversity

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is committed to maintaining a diverse workforce in order to be responsive to the diverse needs of the community it services.  Furthermore, the ODPP is dedicated to promoting a supportive, flexible and fair work environment where differences are respected.

To demonstrate this commitment, the ODPP’s Workforce & Diversity Plan 2012-2017 outlines a number of strategies to improve the participation of people with disabilities across the Office, including targeted recruitment of people with disabilities and the building of relationships with Disability Employment Service providers.

Partnership with the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator

National Disability Recruitment Coordinator Partner - Administered by Workforce Australia

To assist in meeting the objectives outlined in the workforce & diversity plan, the ODPP has partnered with the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator to work towards building a more inclusive environment and promote the employment of people with disability across the organisation.

The NDRC will provide support to do this by raising awareness in the workplace, developing and implementing best practice policies, procedures, tools and resources, identifying any barriers which could prevent the employment of people with disability, individualised training for staff and distribution of vacancies to the network of Disability Employment Services

Employment Opportunities

The ODPP embraces diversity and encourages applications from people with disability. Candidates will have the opportunity to request support or reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process in order to demonstrate their ability to meet the inherent requirements of the job.

If you are a person with a disability and you are interested in working for the ODPP, the links below will provide further information to assist you in applying for positions within our office.
